If, like me, you've lost your polling card DON'T let it stop you from voting today. Here&#39

If, like me, your life is a battle between surviving the working day without losing the plot, as well as making sure the kids are kept alive, you may have misplaced your polling card.

Please don't let this stop you from voting – as long as you're on the Electoral Register you can still vote – polling card or not. Pop your postcode into this website's search engine or to find your nearest polling station. Unfortunately, you can't just vote anywhere – you do need to go to your designated station which is usually the nearest station to where you live.

No ID is needed at polling stations in England, Scotland and Wales. All you have to do is show up and a clerk will cross-reference your name with the electoral register but I'm going to take mine with me just in case.

Polls open at 7am and close at 10pm and usually the busiest times are when everyone finishes work – so if you have a degree of flexibility – head on down during office hours. Make your vote count!
