Big savings at local businesses with Bristol's discount card

December 2, 2019

Do you love the Black Friday and Cyber Monday bargains but wish you could support your local shops and businesses? It’s a problem that I come across all the time as Bristol’s money-saving blogger – I love to support my neighbouring business owners but I also love saving money! It’s a sad fact that shopping local tends to be more expensive.

The good news is that’s all about to change thanks to a new local discount card that is launching today! Indie Bristol will help support independent businesses in Bristol and give you – the shopper – a discount on everything from your chips to your computers!

Bristol’s new discount card unlocks discounts of up to 50% across our city and you can only buy it through Broke in Bristol - & beyond. Don’t get me wrong, I love going to All Bar One as much as the next person but wouldn’t it be nice to support your local family-run boozer as well? Now you can support independent pubs just like the Crown Inn in Keynsham and help inject money back into your local community.

We're launching today with more than 10 businesses on board and there's no reason why every, independent business in Bristol shouldn't be part of the scheme by this time next year. From today you can get discounts at 2BU Hair & Beauty, Creative Mojo, The Crown Inn in Keynsham, Farrows Fish & ChipsFrankie Loves AvaLou Boyce Art & Design, Marcus Ahmad Photography, RJ Boulton MediaSmart Computers, Toohoi school of fashion and  a new bistro opening soon in Totterdown called Truffled.

The card costs just £10 for an entire year and you will make that money back when you take advantage of just one deal on the discount scheme. Here are a few examples for you. If you would usually spend £100 having your nails, hair and a facial done – why don’t you book yourself in at 2BU Hair & Beauty where you’ll get 10% off and make your £10 back straight away? Or you could buy someone a photography course as a Christmas present and save 25% off the usual price of £60, a saving of £15. It means you can now save money at the same time as helping a local business – many of which are struggling and need your support.

So what are you waiting for? Make sure you order an Indie Bristol card today before you start your Christmas shopping. Broke in Bristol - & beyond is proud to partner with this scheme and is your city’s only official retailer. Don't forget to like Broke in Bristol - & beyond on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and please tell your friends so that together we can save a fortune!
