Meanwhile, check out Shopping Slot which scrawls Asda, Tesco, Iceland and Waitrose for the next available delivery slot according to your postcode. I couldn't find any slots this morning but if you keep checking, slots do usually come up for Iceland.
If you have to go out then Supermarket Check in is a really smart app that allows you to check just how long the queue is at your local supermarkets before leaving the house. When I checked this morning, my nearest Tesco and Sainsbury's had 10 in the queue but Asda and Iceland had no waiting times at all. As the app relies on updates from customers, I've yet to see how accurate it is but I think it's a fabulous idea – the app is available on Apple's App Store or Google Play.
