Fab new food delivery app helps support local food independents in Bristol

Put your hands up if you've been eating more takeaways during lockdown? I don't think I'm the only one who's now going to have to put in a bit of effort when it comes to healthy eating and exercise to reverse the effects of the last 12 months!

Well the good news is that, not only have you been supporting your local economy through one of the toughest times we've seen in our lifetime, now a new food app has just launched in Bristol by independents for independent food restaurants.

And it costs local businesses half the price of partnering with Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

BarbiApp charges businesses just 15% instead of the typical 30% so download it from the App Store today and help #supportlocal next time you order a takeaway! It's early days so not every business will be listed, but when I had a browse I had plenty of choice including FiSH, The Louisiana, Bristol Vegan Pub, the Thali and the Canteen.

If you know of a local business who might like to benefit from this, share this post with them and let's help local businesses get back on their feet this year. More from Broke in Bristol (& beyond):
