Save money on your 2021 summer holiday
Now anyone who knows me would describe me as a positive person, but even I'm finding it hard to keep smiling when all around me people are dropping like flies with Covid-19 and the rest of us are stuck inside hoping for better days on the horizon.
January can seem like the longest month at the best of times so it's not surprising that 2021 already feels pretty harsh. One way to cheer yourself up is to join the 5.2 million people who are booking this year's summer holiday – and the good news is that prices have been slashed in a bid to encourage you to do so! In fact, you'll be helping struggling airlines and holiday operators from potentially going under by booking early.
British Airways Holidays has reduced prices by a further £100 in its January sale, with prices starting from £99 for a city break. Of course you can't travel right now due to travel restrictions, but you can secure these prices for a holiday between March and December this year – just make sure your chosen holiday is fully cancellable and flexible, allowing you to change your date of travel or receive a refund if things change.
Jet2, Ryanair and EasyJet are also worth researching with up £300 off holidays and 40% off flights to popular destinations abroad. Or, alternatively now is the time to book your staycation as I'm sure the UK will be busy again with holidaymakers this summer as not everyone will be keen on travelling abroad.
As well as campsites and holiday parks, I think lovehomeswap will come into its own this year as I can't think of a better solution than staying in someone else's home somewhere more exotic than you're used to. I just wish my house was a little more together so that I could do this myself! More from Broke in Bristol – & beyond:
